內容說明：搭配陳榮華博士卓越名人大師講座，很榮幸能邀請到來自德國的設計師Mariko Takagi擔任演講貴賓，與師生、外賓們分享其對於設計的理念、經驗歷程及心得。Mariko Takagi 設計師，專長領域在於視覺傳達設計、印前應用設計等，特別在文字造型設計方面具有精湛的藝術造詣，並以「Kanji Graphy」及「Hanzi Graphy」作品分別榮獲2017德國IF傳達設計獎及2014德國紅點傳達設計獎。
Pairing with Dr. Rong Hua Chen’s Lecture of the Distinguished project, we are honored to invite designer Mariko Takagi from Germany to be our guest speaker to share her ideas and experiences with our teachers, students and fguests. Mariko Takagi is a designer who specializes in visual communication design and prepress application design. Especially in text design, she has won the 2017 German IF Communication Design Award and 2014 German Red Dot Communication Design Award for her works "Kanji Graphy" and "Hanzi Graphy" respectively.
本次講座演講題目為「What designers contribute to change the world (in small steps」，探討身為一位設計師，如何有助於改變世界，Mariko Takagi在平面設計之專業領域具有豐富的資歷，他觀察到在現今科技發達的時代，對於設計師的工作定位，應不再僅聚焦在過去對於作品的「視覺效果強化」將重點放在「美化、美觀；吸引力」上，而是以問題為導向，嘗試以一位專業設計師所具備的設計工具技能、風格或方法，發現問題的癥結點，並將問題加以解決。傳達設計不在只是強調「表面的美麗」的概念，而是要有助於社會，甚至可以影響人類生活的價值信念。透過這套價值信念的灌輸，使學生及教師重新思考身為一位設計師，應具備的定位及使命。
The title of the lecture was "What designers contribute to change the world (in small steps)”, to explore what a designer can do to help change the world. Mariko Takagi has a rich of experience in graphic design. She had observed that with today’s advanced technology, the positioning of a designer's work should not only focus on the past— "visual effect enhancement" that directs to "beautification, beautify, attractiveness", but on problem-oriented issues. Through professional designers’ possessed skills on tools, style and method, core of a problem can be found, and thus be solved. Communication design does not only emphasize the concept of "surface beauty" but helps the society, in influencing the value and beliefs of human life. Through the instillation of these values, students and teachers can reposition the mission of being a designer.
